Besides Aztec, what other cultures/pantheons would you like to see playable in ''Age of Mythology''? Posted: 07 May 2021 09:00 AM PDT Doesn't mean in this game and/or its Definitive Edition. Could be a remake, reboot, spinoff or sequel instead. Sadly I couldn't add every mythology ever created (wanted Polynesian and Mongolian as well). PS: I made the first 4 choices with 2 civilizations each because Reddit only allows 6 choices in a poll. [link] [comments] | ||

RECAP - EE LEGENDS OF TOMORROW I Posted: 07 May 2021 05:32 AM PDT Hey Guys! Round 1 for the first EE Legends of the Tomorrow had many thrilling games! If you missed any or all games and prefer a summary rather than the recs or twitch videos check out the recap I made down below. Jhuacos (WizSanji) vs Ron Paul Jhuacos floats around the 1800-1900 rating on EE and plays multiple gods including ora, loki, and ra. Wiz, Jhuacos's coach, is a tricky player that has been around for many years. He is a veteran for RTSL playing on the Old Boys team with ChronoJJ and IamBoit. Before the match Wiz had come up with a few cheezy strats to beat the probably better overall player at least according to their current rates. Ron Paul has become a staple at the 1900 rating on the ladder during late night in the United States. He is known for his aggressive unorthodox poseidon play. He is a well known arch nemesis to John Arbiter and hopeful future participant in EE Legends of Tomorrow 2, Estim. He is coached by the crafty veteran of many RTSL and the Champions League Swissboi. Game 1 Medit Wiz had Jhuacos try a Kronos Rush on Mediteranean against Ron Paul's Poseidon. Jhuacos went out to an early lead and won water with his deconstruction play and Ron Paul quickly went for 3 town centers to try to make up for the loss on water. However, Jhuacos took map control with 2 tc and forward pressure with a palace, timeshifted towers, and his biremes from winning water. However Ron Paul used and abused chimeras to make a sizable comeback. However, WizSanji had his player Jhuacos build a titan which produced extraordinary value. Jhuacos titan destroyed 2 tcs and Ron Paul's Army and Ron Paul was forced to resign. Game 2 Oasis This time Jhuacos went Ra. Oasis is the chosen map for Ron Paul but Jhuacos and Wiz veto the map due to not seeing the starting gold in their line of sight at the beginning of the game. Second game was also vetoed by Ron Paul because their team could not see the starting hunt and had a bad starting forest. The third try gave us pretty standard 2 tc play from both players with Ron building forward stables to pressure migdol. However Jhuacos countered with khopesh and roc raids. Jhuacos and Wiz thought he could end the game with horus however this proved to be a critical mistake. Ron Paul went up mythic a few minutes later and made Jhuacos pay. At the end of the game Ron Paul finished the game with 23 chimeras!! At one point in the game Ron had 19 on favor. Jhuacos started putting up walls too late and by the time the map was walled up Jhuacos had 3 chimera in his base and no mummies or son of osiris to deal with them. Once Ron Paul started getting a few heliopolis out Jhuacos has resigned the game. Game 3 - watering hole The coach Wiz Sanji and the player Jhuacos had a disagreement about what god he should go. Most of their practice had been with Oranos, but Jhuacos felt more comfortable with Ra and wanted to show that Game 2 was a fluke! Ron Paul went through Hermes and took Jhuacos' 3rd tc. With the aggressive tc take Ron Paul went full aggressive and built all his military buildings forward and had control over the middle of the map. However Jhuacos makes a sneaky roc Play to take Ron's 3rd tc and a 10 villager dead locust to get himself back in the game. Much like the second game Jhuacos went Horus and was not able to counter the chimeras and eventually lost to the superior Poseidon super late game. Overall it was a hard fought series from both the two legends of tomorrow! John Arbiter (DoD_Sigma) vs Jayyyred (IamShadowfax) John Arbiter is a mainstay in the EE community. He is known for his clutch Son of Osiris roc plays and his keyboard rage smashes. He was part of the anti-eggy fan club but then had a stunning reversal and became vice-president on the Ra lover club. He is a self proclaimed 2k+ player yet he found himself in a david vs goliath matchup in the first round. John's new mortal enemy civ has been china. And its fitting enough that his opponent is probably the favorite to win it all and also mains china and has a specialty for defeating ra players. DoD Sigma a long time member of the DoD clan and only volunteer to coach the extremely coachable John Arbiter. Jayyyred has been around EE for several years mostly in the scenario scene specifically in Zelda. Before his 6 month layoff Jayyyred was playing loki with his rate being around 1950. However, his solid mechanics and macro along with his former Champions league coach (IamShadowfax) make him a majority of people's favorite to win the tournament. Game 1 Blue Lagoon The first match between these players was postponed due to lag. However Jayyyred was decisively winning. John was playing as Ra in that match. So in order to mix it up on Jayyyred, John went Oranos and chose Blue Lagoon as his home map to try to bring aggression to Jayyyred's Nu Wa. The game started out well with John providing early aggression to Jayyyred and forced him to stay in a prolonged classic fight. However John made some costly errors and threw away a lot of his army while gaining nothing. However once Jayyyred got his second tc up John failed to make him pay enough for so that it was worthwhile to stay 1tc. The finishing move of the game came when Jayyyred took down John's palace and used geyser to delete 2/3 of John's army. After this critical moment the game was more of a formality with John not being able to gather gold effectively. John was able to get a palace up on a gold mine but this was thwarted by Jayyyreds earth dragons. John was forced to resign due to the gold starve. Game 2 Ghost Lake Jayyyred's home map was John's home map in the game that was admin vetoed due to lag. Jayyyred wanted to show that the game that was vetoed was clearly in his favor and wanted to prove this again. The game begins with a catastrophe when John alt-s his villager and lets it die to one scout cav for free at minute 6. John was then kicked off of hunt for the rest of the game. Then at minute 10 john loses another 2 citizens. Due to the early losses and some military being suicided into Jayyyred's army it was a slow but sure gold starve and John was not able to get an effective trade route going. GG china Op! LeoSixthnation (IamBoit) vs Anomie (VictorGG) Leosixthnation is a random god player that has been around for awhile and has helped with Championsleague and Challengers League. He has participated in EE League and some other tournaments. He is one of the favorites of the tournament and has the most experience in tournaments compared to the rest of the field. He primarily played Isis and Zeus in those tournaments. He is led by the HOF streamer/youtuber/model/actor/entertainer IamBoit. Anomie is the all time meemer in all twitch chats aom. Besides chatting in twitch chat anomie's gods and style of play are not well known. He plays late night on the ladder on West Coast US time. He has mained Thor in the past but has played around with the Chinese gods as well. Anomie is led by VictorGG the 12 year old phenom of EE. Game 1 Oasis Anomie picked his home map to be oasis. And to everyone's surprise (including the two players) both of them chose Oranos as their gods. So right away LeoSixthnation went with a no hunting dogs 4 minute up while Anomie went for the standard 4:30 up. However Leo was not able to push anomie off of hunt and the early advance time hurt him later down the line. Anomie went for 2 tc heroic while Leo opted for 3tc and staying classic longer. Even though the two had pretty different strategies they chose the same gods and most of the fights were pretty even. Anomie was not able to get as much value out of the tartarian gate but was able to get leo's tc down however Leo's tartarian gate allowed him to make the gains back. Better fire siphon play allowed anomie to get leo's tc down and capture it for himself. Leo got anomie's tc down but was never able to get it up. With the tc advantage anomie was able to push on Leo's home tc and force the resign. Game 2 Anatolia The second cheeze of the tournament came out when Boit had his student Leo pick Isis on Anatolia. All players and chat knew that this would be an uphill battle for Anomie. Right away Leo makes a super forward dock on the side Anomie does not go to later till the midgame. Victor and Anomie did have a good game plan to go all in on one side (land and water). However, Leo was able to hold the side being pushed and completely took the other side of fish. After Leo made a safe migdol in base and Leo was able to take the middle of the map with A&E and then grabbed 4 tcs. So the 4tc Isis eventually slowly strangled the 2 tc Oranos. Game 3 Marsh The last map is random and turned out to be Marsh. Anomie went with Ora thinking he could replicate his success in Game 1, but Leo thought he could counter the ora again with his experienced Isis. The high hunt and the safe gold heavily favored the Isis player and Anomie possibly should have vetoed. Leo went to his second hunt first and then came back to eat the initial hunt and pigs to get a nice heroic timing push with priest siege and ancestors eclipse. Leo had a critical delay of Anomie's second tc for several seconds with his sphinx. This delay hurt Anomie's economy and it also delayed Anomie's heroic time. Anomie was not able to get his population high enough and had no heroic and was overwhelmed with a&e and the priest siege strat and was forced to resign. Ending the series 2-1. Lost Goat (Lundberg__) vs DragonAom (DoD_Dragon_Kr) Lost Goat aka Luckybam aka Bam aka RaNeedsBuff is the president of the Ra Lover club and is a Ra one trick. He is well known in the EE community where you can find him in twitch chat asking anyone and everyone that is listening for a scout for Ra. He also has gone through game ranger, voobly, and EE to find all viable/non-viable build orders for Ra. He is also the self proclaimed teacher of Kimo and is the self proclaimed idle villager king. Lost Goat is coached by the rockstar that is Lundberg he is the sensation that is taking over the nation in the EE scene. He is also a Ra main and has been playing for less time than Lost Goat but is 2300 real rating. DragonAom is an Age of Mythology Extended Edition streamer who is a one trick that plays zeus. He is known for his aggressive athena rush and has beaten several 2k+ norse players. He is also a very involved individual where you can find him as a mod in many twitch chats. He is coached by the long time member of DOD - Dragon_Kr. Dragon_Kr also is a known member oof the Yakuza. Game 1 Ghost Lake Lost Goat chose the first map to be Ghost Lake. When DragonAom went through Hermes, Lundberg immediately directed his student to go 2tc. Both players misplayed in the early game where Lost Goat did not bring his wadjet to protect the tc going up and Dragon did not have his heroes qued to go to the tc that he knew Lost Goat was taking. It seemed that Dragon was not able to macro successfully to pull off Hermes against the 2tc ptah. After the second tc went up for Lost Goat he remained in the driver's seat for the rest of the game. Dragon did not have medium hippikonos to contest the migdol at the third gold mine (it was a 2 gold mine ghost lake). Bam then raided with camels and with his roc, and was able to land a very successful locust. Bam was able to hit his victory condition with the Son of Osiris and 4 catapults before Dragon had any armoury ups. He slowly gold starved dragon and was able to make him resign after a decisive fight on Dragon's 3rd gold mine. Game 2 Team Dragon chose savannah after a ban of Tundra from Lost Goat and Lundberg. It seemed disastrous when 8 villagers and a pharaoh were pushed off from building the second tc. However with a few khopesh and roc raids - Lost Goat was able to get his migdol up and secure his second gold mine. After that the rest of the game was a formality as DragonAom stacked resources and didn't spend them. Bam won essentially every fight and instead of the zeus player walling up the entire map the Ra player walled up the entire map. The final fight was on the gold mine where DragonAom lost decisively. There was some controversy after the game because of the annoying nature of Ra spamming mercs and roc dropping. However the game was over when Dragon was pushed off hunt and Lost Goat had 2 safe gold mines secured. [link] [comments] |
