Atlanteans are racist and heres why:

This will be part 1 of many ted talks. Firstly, I will be addressing the anti-hero sentiment held by the majority of this shitty nation.

For argument sake I will assume the following:

    1. 'Atlantean Heros' are a different race to 'Atlanteans'. For example, a 'Champion Murmillo' would be like a neanderthal whilst a 'Hero Murmillo' would be like a homo sapien. This assumption is necessary to point out the blatant racism in Atlantean society.
    2. idk i just wanted 2nd point so sound cool.

Anyway. As you might know, line upgrades affect all Atlantean units of that unit line. Easy to understand right? I mean, a medium upgrade will get you 'Medium Arcus' and 'Medium Turma' (which you get by default on voobly compared to EE). This proves that by getting the line upgrade, you are paying to upgrade equipment and training level of these troops for the cost of some resources. The graphical changes show that a turma progresses from nothing, to bronze armour, to iron armour and finally some adamantium gold armour or something. Clearly it must be better than the iron armour.

This brings me onto my next point. Where do they get these equipment? Clearly from the barracks/counter barracks/fortress they come from. There must be some sort of equipment rack or armour stand like in Minecraft. For this reason, troops don't come out looking like hobos and need you to manually upgrade (else you would need apm of like 5000). Anyway, did you know that my statement was a lie? Not all line upgrades affect all Atlantean units of that line.

Well then, who isn't affected by line upgrades? To some of the Sherlocks in the room, the answer is Atlantean Heroes. The process of ascension from a neanderthal Atlantean to a hero requires tribute to the Gods and favour. This makes them stronger against myth units, therefore it must be some sort of ascended power (kind of like Uber Arkantos). Anyway, where does the armour go from these heroes? In the bin! If you hero a gold turma, it becomes into hero turma without it's gold gucci armour. Why is this? The jealous non-hero Atlanteans steal their armour away. Of course, the Gods grant them some sick ass white robes to make up for it but it isn't quite as good.

So why are Heroes so good even without their armour? Answer: Magic. Clearly through ages their God-given power increases as they gain 10% hp and 10% extra damage per age. More gods = more power. Even though Atlantean Heroes are discriminated against by racist neanderthal Atlanteans, they are Chads and do not care.

So what can be done to prevent this racism? Simply, give them equipment when you see them and spread awareness about this blatant racism. Education will solve everything. If neanderthal Atlanteans learn to accept the superior Hero Atlantean race, they can live together in harmony and crush foes.
