Theory: AoM Definitive Edition could be launched in late 2022-early 2023 Posted: 31 Aug 2020 02:25 PM PDT So we got: -AoE DE: planned for its 20th anniversary, late 2017, delayed to early 2018. -AoE II DE: launched for its 20th anniversary, late 2019. -AoE III DE: is going to be launched for its 15th anniversary, late 2020. And what about good ol' Age of Mythology? It was launched in late 2002, so its 20th anniversary is going to be in late 2022. That's why I think it will be released late 2022 or early 2023, if we ever get it, of course. I think community really waits for it. As well as better graphics and so on, it would feature redone Chinese (which few people enjoyed due to bad quality of the TotD expansion) and probably a new civ, like the community-demanded Mayans and/or my secret favourite, the Romans. Only problem would be if it's launched simultaneously with long-awaited Age of Empires IV, which I think may be released in late 2021. If my thoughts become true, it would be released one year later. It might be released in the midst of AoE IV fever and during its post-launch support, but I don't think people would forget about a beloved classic. What do you think? [link] [comments] | ||
