| AoM Extended Edition tournament by DoD Posted: 26 Jan 2021 12:54 PM PST Introduction: Hello everyone and welcome to the 1st EE tournamente organized by DoD I saw all tournaments are organized on voobly and I believe that it's time to organize also one on EE, i think it could a good idea for community at the end we are all in the same boat, we play the same game and it coulb be a good thing to have activity also on EE Any form of help as streamers, organizers, donators and so on are absolutely welcome and appreciated Discord link: https://discord.gg/NjrKeqfM When?: The tournament will start in the coming weeks, since it is the first for the moment let's see how many members there are and how to structure the matches depending on the number of participants there will be a tennis scoreboard or n groups Sign-ups are open until 29th January. Tournament and match rules: - The format will be pretty standard, with most rounds being bo3 (semi and finals bo5) and played on random map - All games will be played on EE - Veto is possible in the first 60 seconds. (In case of veto, the game will be restarted on the same map and with the same major gods.) - Every match has one week to be scheduled and played. - Refusing to schedule, violating the rules or not showing for a scheduled match leads to admin loss. - After every match the winner will upload all recorded games. - No cheats, if there are bugs please warn and restart match with same map and gods. - No abusive language in game and in stream. Respect each other, it's only a game, for fun, enjoy it The tournament will be played in two phases: qualifications and final draw First Phase: Qualifications -> Round Robin Player will be equally and randomly divided into 'n' groups, each group will be formed by 4 players, all matches will be Bo3 in round robin, each win will gain 1 pt to the player, each lost 0 pt. Each player will be able to veto once in a match. I remember about this (Veto is possible in the first 60 seconds. In case of veto, the game will be restarted on the same map and with the same major gods.) The two players who gain the most points for each group will pass to the next phase: the first classified of each group will play with the second of the other groups *** What happens if 2 or more players finish on equal points? ° Two players: If two players end up with same points then the played match (series bo3) between the two players in draw will be taken into consideration, so that the player who won the match will finish ahead of the loser ° Two or more players: If two or more players end up with same points, then players having more 'matches difference' i.e., 'matches won' minus 'matches lost' will go to the 'Final draw'. If 'matches difference' are also same, then players having more 'matches won' will go to the 'Final draw', if also 'matches won' are same, will play only one match to decide who have to pass to the final draw Second Phase: Final draw (single elimination bracket) The matches will be in single elimination bracket bo3, with the exception of the semifinals and finals which will be played bo5: the player who will win the series goes to the next round During bo3 you can't use the same god more than twice, semifinals and finals free Prize money: glass of milk :) this is a difficult period for the covid and with little work so it will depend on the willingness to donate [link] [comments] | ||
| Planned Potential Playable Pantheon Pictures Posted: 26 Jan 2021 06:46 AM PST Greetings everybody, I am planning on drawing ideas of possible civilizations that could appear in the AOM game (regardless if it's a sequel, expansion pack, reboot/remake or even a fan-created mod). However I won't make drawings of everything (sadly the possible naval, siege and military units will be left without drawings) and I would be using existing images from the Internet for the major and minor deities. This is because those things are the most difficult to research and/or draw plus my resorces are limited (paper, pencils, etc) to the point I am dividing each paper in pieces to draw separate things on them. Would like to mention that I don't know when this project would be completed given its large scope and my real life priorities, but as soon as it's done I will glady post the drawings ASAP here on reddit for everybody to see. That said, I had originally planned to draw all these cultures with 16/20 being fully playable. 1.Base Game: Greek, Norse, Egyptian, Roman (would be replacing the Atlanteans) 2.Expansion Pack 1: Slavic, Celtic, Mesopotamian, Yoruba 3.Expansion Pack 2: Chinese, Japanese, Hindu, Mongolian 4.Expansion Pack 3: Mayan, Aztec, Inca, Polynesian 5.Unplayable NPC: Tribal American, Inuit, Tupi-Guarani, Aboriginal Australian Granted, because I lack the resources to draw all this as well as knowledge about some aspects (e.g. Mongolian, Polynesian, Inca and Mayan myth units are either generic, there isn't enough information about them, are personally hard to draw or are creatures that are already used by other cultures) tragically I am forced to cut my grand ambitions short and only draw these civilizations instead. 1.Base Game: Greek, Norse, Egyptian, Roman (would be replacing the Atlanteans) 2.Expansion Pack 1: Slavic, Celtic, Mesopotamian, Yoruba 3.Expansion Pack 2: Chinese, Japanese, Hindu, Aztec 4.Unplayable NPC: Tribal American, Inuit, Tupi-Guarani, Mongolian, Inca, Mayan Playable Polynesians with unplayable Aboriginal Australians won't be sadly getting any drawings whatsoever despite the former having a very underrated as well as radical culture and mythology.
