Game crashes after about 20 to 40 minutes in about 6+ player game Posted: 28 Apr 2020 04:08 PM PDT I like to play games with large teams for more laid back games and to try different team compositions, but if I keep the game open and running, it overloads and crashes. My average framerate starts at 90-120 for the first five minutes, going down to about 50 after that, but never lower unless I'm looking at a forest or something. The only sign of the game nearing the point of crashing is the screen freezing briefly when I view a place across the map from before, then massive stuttering when the camera moves in the last minute or so. The error says it was unable to load memory and says 'size:' (6 digits but no unit, like bytes, given). I don't have a bad computer and its memory and ram are not terrible. The problem can be avoided by saving and restarting the game, but it gets annoying waiting for the long save times. Is there a way I can prevent these crashes from happening, without having to only play 1v1 or 2v2s? EDIT: This is not the extended edition. It's the disc version, but I don't have to insert the disc to play past installing. Dunno if that last part's relevant. Also this same problem would happen after longer times when I would do similar matches on another computer years ago, with lower specs in all areas, but being a regular PC as opposed to my current laptop. Size of skill gap between each AI difficulty? Posted: 28 Apr 2020 12:20 AM PDT I only have a disc of TT without online so I play against AI bots. I've been playing moderate because I'm far from a master at the game. I know that easy doesn't pick up relics and only uses a few soldiers in pushes, and is very inefficient at playing overall. I also know that moderate actually uses most of the game's mechanics, but can be locked in a loop of just sitting there and/or doing the same puny push over and over. I wanna know how higher difficulties work so I can judge whether or not I can move up easily. How hard is hard, how much more so than moderate? Same question for titan in comparison to hard? What does each difficulty make use of or do that lower difficulties generally don't? [link] [comments] |
