| EE Showdown Tournament TOMORROW 1/25 FREE ENTRY $50 PRIZE! Posted: 24 Jan 2020 03:35 PM PST EE Showdown: Hades Society's One-Day Open Tournament for AoM Extended Edition. Time: The tournament will start on the 25th of January at 15:00 GMT, which is a Saturday. Tournament Settings: The tournament will be Single Elimination BO3 Matches, with the exception of the finals which will be BO5. Seeding will be based off of the players current rating on the 2.7 Supremacy ladder and other past accomplishments in competitive AoM. Maps: The map played in this tournament will be the default Random Map every game to keep things simple for our first tournament. Whatever map you get is whatever map you play, even repeat maps and map screws. The only exception to this is for Town Centers failing to spawn (I have seen this happen sometimes on Tundra), where the map will be vetoed and replayed automatically. Gods: To keep things simple and prevent counter-picking without needing the Blind Pick mod, every player can only use ONE GOD throughout the whole Tournament. This will need to be declared during the sign up stage of the Tournament, and will not be revealed until the Tournament has begun. Valid God Choices: Zeus, Poseidon, Hades, Ra, Isis, Set, Thor, Odin, Loki, Kronos, Oranos, Gaia, Fu Xi, Nu Wa, Shennong, random Greek, random Egyptian, random Norse, random Atlantean, random Chinese, random (with or without China DLC) Vetos: For each BO3 series, each player has 1 Veto that can be used before 2:30. If a Veto is used, the players will replay the game ON THE SAME MAP (whatever map was chosen from Random Map). You cannot veto after the in-game timer shows 2:31 or later. For the finals BO5 series, each player will have 2 vetoes. Social Rules: You must get into your game within 10 minutes of it being available. The winner should submit the replays in the #replays channel under the Tournament section of the discord. The finals and at least one of the Semifinals will be streamed. Wait for Lunatic before starting those games. Extreme lag (constant game freezing, 3 or more seconds delay on actions) is grounds for disqualification. If there are disputes about lag, please save the game and contact Lunatic. Regular amounts of lag that may be caused by location differences will be ignored. You may only pause the game if your opponent agrees to it, or to discuss issues affecting the game (e.g. lag, or rules being broken regarding God picks) Sign Ups: To sign up, simply message Lunatic with the God you intend to play, and your current rating. This can be changed prior to the Tournament starting. All players that wish to participate in this tournament must add steamcommunity.com/id/soscarletaom on steam. Friend Code: 175524015 All players must be part of the Hades Society discord server and be present for announcements at the time of the tournament. Prizes: There will be a $50 USD Prize for this tournament for the winner only. Runner ups will not receive any monetary prizes, but all top 4 will receive a custom role on this discord. | Is GameRanger completely dead? Posted: 24 Jan 2020 03:19 AM PST It feels like all of the AoM GameRanger community is one single entity, because they all have in common 3 things, noone can write in English, everyone is terrible at the game, regardless of supremacy or deathmatch, and they're all getting really cringe after they get stomped in a few minutes, and start flaming in uninteresting, boring ways, usually in a foreign language, then ragequit the game and the room. Last time I played there was in 2010, and things were different. What's changed? [link] [comments] | ||
| Posted: 24 Jan 2020 05:52 AM PST So, I've played AOM EE for about 200 hours, but its pretty much the story mode and several AI games vs Moderate dif. (And i still lose sometimes, to MODERATE ai lol) I'm really strugling in multiplayer games, people are very good and I get bodied fast. Do you guys have any tips for a noob player that can help me improve? Can i get recorded games from other players within the game, or do i have to download them elsewhere?
