| Why Extended edition was made at all? Posted: 28 Dec 2019 02:24 AM PST Original disk version was and is still working just fine. Why MS just didnt release that to steam and let it be. Like age of empires 3 steam version. Microsoft only would had to reopen ESO servers, nothings else. Extended edition was just a waste of dev time and stupid cash grab attempt. Now we have split community and horrible new version that doesnt work properly. (AoE2 HD was justified because original AoC was barely running on modern computers and needed heavy modpatches to play it at all) I hope that AoM DE will come eventually and will be properly made.
