| Posted: 02 Nov 2019 04:46 AM PDT Here are the "true gather rates" of Age of Mythologys non atlantean civilizations, and data on the gold income of Caravans. How it works, and why this spreadsheet exists: When a villager gathers resources, it performs animations to fill up its gather Capacity. If the gather rate (shown in files and other websites) is say, 1.05, and each animation is 2 seconds, then it will gather 2.1 resources per swing. So if the villager has a carry capacity of 10, it will take 5 swings, or 10 seconds to fill the capacity. This means the actual gather rate of the villager is 1, not 1.05! The number of animations will differ greatly across different upgrade combinations, so a lot of upgrades are misleading, such as Harmonias Necklace +10% gather rate: It might not "save" you an animation at all, so it could not help you, or it could save an animation and boost gather rate by much more than the shown 10%. This will help you know how effective each economic upgrade is, so you can make better decisions on when to get them. Thanks to Loggy for help on the Caravan data. [link] [comments] | ||
